Description: Department of Sociology, Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University, Delhi invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to a four year research degree course of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Sociology. Admission to the Ph.D. Programme is treated differently from all other courses of study (such as the M.A. or the M.Phil.) because it involves a commitment to produce original work of value to the discipline, work that commands the respect of the profession.
